I was the director for 7 seasons of the LOL Surprise Animated series, and worked on each of the movies as a layout artist and various other roles. Building out the LOL world has been both a fun and challenging experience.
Most seasons, we are simply given the reference images and callout designs for the dolls and their accessories – but otherwise we are free to flesh out and design the rest of the LOL world, molding it to fit the design language of the brand.
